ACAMIS Cultural Convention 25th 27th November 2016

On the 25th November, 13 students from G7-G12 participated in the annual ACAMIS Cultural Convention hosted by The International School Macau. Students got together with over 150 students from international schools across China. The festival  involved students developing their talents in the Performing and Visual Arts, which concluded with a showcase at the end of the festival. A big thank you to Ms Joseph and Mr McTavish who looked after the students while in Macau.

Winter Concert 2016

Congratulations to the 140 students that performed in the annual winter concert season at Xiamen International School. The concerts managed to highlight the depth of talent that XIS has from elementary to secondary. A big thank has to go out to classroom teachers for their support and patience during what was such a busy time of the school year.

Karl Jenkins Composer Competition Winner Jordan Lin!!!

It is great to announce that G8 student Jordan Lin has won the annual International School Choral Music Society (ISCMS) Karl Jenkins Composer Competition for his composition ‘Don’t Leave Me’. This is a fantastic achievement for Jordan and his development as a musician. His price for winning the award will be for the festival choir of 200 students to sing and play his piece at the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing on the 18th February.

ISCMS Orchestral Success

G9 student Shannon Lin has been successfully passed the audition to be part of the ISCMS Festival Orchestra. This is a massive achievement. Shannon was competing against many other players, many students much her more experienced than herself, well done Shannon.
