Month: November 2017

The XIS Model United Nations program is proud to announce that Grade 11 student Alex Choi has been selected, by one of the most prestigious MUN simulations in Asia (BEIMUN) held at the International School of Beijing (ISB), as President of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

BEIMUN is held yearly in March – this year is the 25th anniversary of the program.

Alex began in 2013 as a delegate in our own simulation (XIAMUN), which is in its 8th season this year.  Alex has attended many simulations since then in Nanjing, Shanghai, and Beijing; he has received numerous distinctions, such as Best Delegate, several times.  Alex has chaired various committees and, this year is the Secretary-General of XIAMUN VIII.

Alex has shown that he has been a risk-taker in pursuing new opportunities, that he is a clear communicator in being able to encourage and convince others of compromise solutions, and that he is able to balance his extra-curricular work with his own high academic expectations.

Congratulations Alex Choi!

We are sure that you will inspire current and future MUN leaders.
